Reconciliation

A child’s initiation into the Catholic faith, which begins at his/her Baptism, requires a special level of commitment from both the child and his/her parents.  As your child approaches the age when the sacramental preparation process will begin for Reconciliation, it is important for families to understand the commitment they will undertake.

Families with children in second grade who have completed at least one year of faith formation (or Catholic school) are eligible to enter into preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Minimally, families are to attend weekly Mass and participate fully in the parish preparation process.  In addition to regularly scheduled faith formation sessions, special parent-child formation sessions are held during the year.  Attendance in the special parent-child sessions is required.

If you have any questions regarding the Sacrament of Reconciliation, please contact Katie Tylinski, Director of Faith Formation, via email or by phoning 724-212-6740.
