Parish religious education and faith formation programs offer educational opportunities for children of the parish from kindergarten through adult. The programs offer an educational opportunity, as well as formational experiences involving community, service and worship. Our programs have a set curriculum in accordance with guidelines set by the Diocese of Greensburg. The curriculum covers Creed, Sacraments, Christian Living, Sacred Scripture, Liturgy, Christian Prayer, and Church with age-appropriate activities and experiences.
Sacramental Preparation - A two-year preparation is required before receiving the sacraments of Penance and Eucharist. These sacraments usually take place in the 2nd grade. The Sacrament of Confirmation is usually received in the eighth or ninth grades. In order to properly know their faith and be prepared to understand the significance of the sacrament, children should participate in our Faith Formation and EDGE programs. Throughout the year, all sacramental candidates and their parents come together for additional sessions and experiences. Of course, sacramental rites are celebrated in the parish as a community event.

Young Adults to Retirees ... Volunteer! "Let the children come to me." (Matthew 19:14) Jesus has a special place in His heart for children and we hope you do too! Mom or Dad... young adults to retirees... you are needed as catechists (teachers), teacher aides, special event volunteers and Children's Liturgy of the Word leaders. Being involved in the faith formation process deepens your own faith and builds our parish community. Come share your laughter, God's Word, and Catholic traditions with our youngest parishioners! Resources and guidance is provided for you. If you love children and are willing to let God work through you, please contact Katie Tylinski, Region 2 Director of Faith Formation, via email.
