The life of the parish community comes not only from our worship together at the
Sunday Eucharist, but also by gathering for social events. We are looking for chairpersons
for these events as well as others to help in planning and carrying them out.
Ladies of Christ the King:
Ladies organization that works in service of the parish.
Knights
of Columbus: The Knights of Columbus is a National Catholic Men’s organization.
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practical Catholic men in union
with the Holy See, who shall not be less than 18 years of age.
Special Projects Group:
A small group of women who make lap quilts which are given to the homebound,
the ill, and those who have had operations. They also make baby quilts which are
given to little one’s when they are baptized at Christ the King Parish.
Randomly Scheduled Activities: There are several activities and fun- raisers,
such as Easter and Christmas bake sales, that are scheduled annually or a couple
times a year. These require no long term commitment but involve planning and carrying
out the project.
Ladies’ Tea: An annual
spring event featuring an afternoon tea social and entertainment.
Family Faith & Fun Nights: Special seasonal faith experiences for the
whole family involving instruction and activities and fellowship. FFFN is scheduled
throughout the year.
Ministry of Consolation: Trained volunteers who preside at the Vigil Service
at the funeral home for parishioners. Follow up to help the bereaved through the
grieving process. Contact person is Linda Fedorchak. Call the parish
office to contact her.
Ministry of Care: Trained volunteers who meet the physical, emotional and
spiritual needs of our parish family members, especially those who are homebound
and in the nursing homes.
Funeral Luncheons: This committee takes care of preparing the hall for use
by family and friends for funeral luncheons.
