Ministerium Activities - Christ the King

The Leechburg Ministerium sponsors a variety of ecumenical activities throughout the year. Some are spiritual in nature. Others are community oriented. Some are service projects. Some events are annual events. Others are ongoing programs. We will try to post information on these events as it becomes available.

Leechburg Food Bank
One of the ongoing service programs is the sponsorship of the Leechburg Food Bank. The Food Bank is located at the First United Methodist Church. Below you will find the schedule for volunteers. Distribution is held on the First Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM. We carry groceries from the Food Bank to the clients’ cars or buggies.

A group of volunteers is on call to help unload the delivery truck on the Thursday prior to distribution around noon. New volunteers are always welcome. If the truck is going to be late Tom Rimel will contact those who are scheduled to unload.

Key points to remember:

* Unloading the truck is done the Thursday prior to
distribution around noon.
* Packing the bags is done the Monday prior to distribution at
1:00 PM
* Distribution is always the first Tuesday of the month.
* Volunteers are needed for both packing and distributing.
