            I am pleased to see that you are looking in on us and hope that you will find the information that you need.  If you are visiting friends and relatives or are new to the area please feel free to visit us as well.

          Christ the King is located in Leechburg, Pennsylvania .  The parish was founded in 1999, springing from the roots of the multicultural ethnic parishes in the area.  We are a Roman Catholic parish striving, as our mission statement says, “to promote unity and provide a foundation for the future growth of God’s Kingdom.”

          In the words of the second Vatican Council, the Eucharist is “the source and summit of our lives.”  Everything we do springs from the liturgy.  Therefore we strive to promote active participation in prayer as we sing and praise God.  From the liturgy arises a desire to serve God by building our sense of community, continuing to form our faith and working with the extended community to foster strong Christian values.  Practically speaking this means putting into practice works of charity, mercy, and justice.  It means visiting the sick and reaching out to those in need.

          We invite you to join us in prayer, ministry and social events and become a part of the Christ the King parish family.  Current opportunities for ministry include the Stewardship Committee and the Church Decorating Committee.
